Summary:
Following its Lagos school-support initiative, EBC Financial Group donated 250 notebooks and 48 school bags to students at You-Nik Group of Schools in Abuja.
EBC Financial Group (EBC) visited You-Nik Group of Schools in Abuja and donated 250 notebooks and 48 school bags as part of its ongoing effort to support education in Nigeria.
The donation was received by the school's management, led by Principal Mrs Ima-Abasi Brown, on behalf of the students. The materials were provided to support classroom participation and help students keep their schoolwork organised.
The Abuja handover marked the next step in EBC's support for education initiatives in Nigeria, bringing the programme to another school community after its recent activity in Lagos. The visit centred on direct, practical support, with the donated materials handed to the school for use by students in their everyday learning.
The visit gave EBC representatives the opportunity to meet the school community, engage with school administrators and understand the practical needs that affect students' daily learning.

"We are grateful for the chance to support students at You-Nik Group of Schools in Abuja," said David Precious, Project Coordinator for EBC's Nigeria School Support Initiative. "A notebook or school bag may seem small, but for a student, it helps them come to class, stay organised, and feel proud of their learning. We thank Mrs Ima-Abasi Brown and the school team for welcoming us and accepting the donation for the students."
The school's management team received the donation and expressed appreciation for the support.
The visit to Abuja is part of EBC's wider community work in Nigeria across education and health. It follows EBC's recent education at Isolo Junior Secondary School in Lagos, where the company also gave classroom materials to students, using the same hands-on approach in Abuja.
In addition to its work in education, EBC supports the United to Beat Malaria program, since malaria still affects many communities in Nigeria. EBC was a Gold Sponsor of the 2026 Move Against Malaria 5K (MAM5K) Virtual event where colleagues from all over the world, including Nigeria, participated in the virtual event. In the same year, the company also extended its partnership with the program for another three years.
Through its local and global projects, EBC continues to help communities with practical support and ongoing involvement.
