Celebrating Indonesia's 81st Independence Day, EBC Financial Group Indonesia (EBC Indonesia) invited children at Yayasan Pondok Kasih Mandiri in South Jakarta to celebrate the spirit of independence through care, solidarity, and togetherness.
The corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, titled "Sharing Independence, Sharing Hope," included the donation of essential food supplies, personal hygiene products, and cleaning equipment to support the children's daily needs and the foundation's ongoing operations.
The assistance is expected to directly benefit the 21 children under the care of Yayasan Pondok Kasih Mandiri while helping to create a cleaner, more comfortable, and supportive living environment for their growth and development.
For EBC Indonesia, Independence Day is not only an occasion to honour the struggles and sacrifices of previous generations, but also an opportunity to renew the spirit of mutual support and compassion for others.
"Independence carries a broader meaning when everyone has the opportunity to grow, feel cared for, and look towards the future with hope. Through this initiative, we want to build a closer connection with the children and provide support that reflects their needs," said Fikri Fairuz, CSR Programme Manager, EBC Financial Group Indonesia.
Beyond the distribution of essential supplies, the initiative also created an opportunity for EBC Indonesia employees to engage directly with the children at the foundation.
