Spread

Spread in Forex refers to the difference between the buy (ask) price and the sell (bid) price of a currency pair. It represents the cost of trading, as traders effectively pay the spread when entering a position. A tight (low) spread reduces trading costs, while a wide (high) spread increases them. Spreads can be fixed or variable, often influenced by market volatility, liquidity, and the broker’s pricing model.
